Escalated calls can be very nerve racking and stressfull, it is the one thing that you will have to get use to working at a call center for geek squad. Pretty cool place to work.

The pay was across the board so the ones like me that WORKED received the same pay as the ones who did not work they were on there phones to or asleep!! I love working at Sitel. It was very peaceful. They gave us free coffee every morning. The hardest for me was getting let go because it got slow. I will go back if the pay was more. Lack of organization and structure.

Extremely poor management, unprofessional HR and too many biased relationships. Too much fraternizing and too unprofessional relationships.

No stability nor professionalism! Typical day at Sitel. Inbound calls for warranties on appliances. Constant cussing and being screamed at. Appointments are too far out for techs to service appliances. They let customers sometimes go with no working fridge. I learned never to buy an appliance from Sears, Management is poor will not respond to emails or keep you updated on changes.

There is no advancement unless you are a favorite. The hardest part of job is being cussed out on every call and trying to de-escalate.

Sears is going under which is a shame. They don't care about their customers. They do not care if you have a Dr note saying you have to miss a couple of days. They expect you to work with strep throat. They expect you to stay at work when you are throwing up. I have rated it as average since i learnt a lot during my five years with the company and had excellent mentors and supervisors but in all those five years got a pay increase only once and that was due to my promotion.

During my tenure , I strongly felt that compensation review was required. Work from convenience of home. Only equipment needed was high speed internet and monitor Coaches changed quite frequently.

Staffing was not handled the best, company would allow others to leave work early which would lead to non stop back to back calls for the associates left working. Have to complete calls and notes plus ending message within a certain time or you would have someone messaging you asking what is taking too long.. Staffing could be handled better for call volume.

Set more realistic goals for after call time. I can't think of anything that was good about this situation. Training was noting but contradictions and confusion. No proper training and they had you answering calls in 3 weeks. We didn't even have half the logins to our systems that we would use on a daily basis when they put us on the phones. Have everyone's logins ready on the 1st day of training.

Work at home, online training, online materials. Can work from home. Pay is on time. Paid vacation days can be earned after six months. Lower management is disorganized and not educated about management and job skills. Hire better trained coaches. Offer incentives to high performing hourly employees. Long hiring process, short training, coaches need to be more concerned about helping their team resolve problems in a timely manner instead of making them wait, favoritism, coaches should be more concerned about their team members rather than their team numbers, we're told to restart computers, change passwords, call IT for tech troubles and boot up computers before punching in or after we log out or during our unpaid lunch hour.

Sitel's handbook clearly states that it is against policy and also the law to work unpaid, but we're told these things will take "just a minute" to accomplish.
